Three Blazers Honored with NWAC Softball All Region Awards
2026 NWAC Softball All-Region Awards Announced
The 2026 NWAC Softball All-Region awards have been announced, with award winners for each of the three regions. Each region consists of a Most Valuable Player, Pitcher of the Year, Coach of the Year along with First and Second Team honorees.
Edmonds won the North Region with an undefeated 28-0 record in region games, led by the North Region Coaching Staff of the Year with Antionette Watson at the helm. Edmonds' Scarlette Chapman was named MVP for the North as she leads the entire NWAC in multiple categories heading into the postseason with a .577 batting average and 27 home runs. She ranks second with 104 runs batted in. Bellevue's Ava Jeretzky earned North Region Pitcher of the Year as has gone 18-8 in the circle, pitching the second most innings this year with 171.2, recording 141 strikeouts and 11 complete games.
Defending champions Lower Columbia won the tough South Region that features six of 12 postseason teams with a 29-3 region record, led by South Region Coach of the Year Traci Fuller. LCC's Zoey Hughes earns South Region Pitcher of the Year for the second-straight year after posting a 20-2 record with a low 1.79 ERA and 163 strikeouts in 113.1 innings. Mt. Hood's Sadie Guyette earned South Region Most Valuable Player of the Year with one of the most remarkable offensive seasons in NWAC history. Guyette has hit .575 with 24 home runs and an NWAC record 128 runs batted in. She is closing in on an all-time single season collegiate record heading into the playoffs.
Spokane had a resurgent season to claim the East Region title with a 24-4 region record. Spokane head coach Terry McIntyre earned co-Coach of the Year with Walla Walla's Logan Parker. Cassaundra Seifert of Spokane was named East Region Pitcher of the Year as she has posted a 14-5 record with 189 strikeouts in 125 innings to go with a low 3.02 ERA. Walla Walla's Faith Hickman was voted Most Valuable Player for the region as she has 21 home runs, 75 RBI and a .489 batting average.
