Bio
Olivia Dean enters her first season as the Head Softball Coach for Centralia College, bringing with her a legacy of Blazer Athletics. Centralia is where Dean began her college softball journey. During her my time as a Blazer, Dean was named an All-American and help lead the program to the NWAC Tournament.
After earning her Associate of Arts degree at Centralia College, Dean went on to play Division I softball at Portland State University, where she completed her Bachelor’s in Business Administration: Management and Leadership. Dean continued to forge a path at PSU, being named Big Sky Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as she helped her team win the 2021 Big Sky Championship. "None of that would have been possible without the amazing mentors and coaches who supported me" said Dean, "and their example continues to inspire my passion for coaching and student development."
"I’m so grateful for the opportunity to return to Centralia College as the new Head Softball Coach and Academic Intervention Specialist. I believe that my time in community college gave me the grit and perseverance it takes to compete at the Division I level. Those experiences fueled my passion for helping athletes not only grow their skills on the field but also find confidence and success in the classroom and in life. I’m excited to give back to the college that gave me my start and to work with our student-athletes and the Centralia community. Go Blazers!"
