Trailblazers go 1-1 at Pierce College Raider Classic

The Centralia College women's basketball team went 1-1 at the Pierce College Raider Classic over the weekend, falling to Lane 89-43 on Friday before bouncing back with a 73-56 win over Whatcom on Saturday.

The Trailblazers came out of the gate slow on Friday, trailing 22-12 after one and 47-19 at the break, but on Saturday, they got off the a much better start.

CC took an 18-2 lead over Whatcom after one and pushed its lead to 32-10 at halftime.

Another 41 points across the final two frames were more than enough for the Trailblazers to hold on for the victory.

Khloe Glover led the Trailblazers in scoring on Friday with 13 points, while Keiryn Mann scored 18 to lead the way on Saturday.

CC (2-6) will head to Skagit Valley on Tuesday.
