By The Chronicle staff

The Centralia College basketball teams both picked up wins at home on Saturday, as the men's and women's teams swept both ends of a doubleheader against Tacoma Community College 79-71 and 83-77, respectively.

The women's team built a 21-point halftime lead thanks to a 57-point first half, and late in the third, they led by as many at 25.

Like the men's game, Tacoma rallied to get back within striking distance, and they got within three points with 3:15 to play. Khloe Glover responded with a three to push the lead back to six, and it never got closer than four in the final three minutes.

Glover had an outstanding night, as she hit four three-pointers en route to a 28-point night. Keiryn Mann added 15 points and 11 rebounds, Jazmin Moctezuma scored 12 points and tallied six rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and Mya Penswick added 12 points and six rebounds of her own.

Jazlyn Corpuz added 10 points, Morning Sky Iron Mocassine added four, and Abi Lundblad finished with two points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks.

The women's team (8-15, 3-5 NWAC) will be at Highline on Saturday.
