Blazers Battle Red Devils to 1-1 Stalemate

Elsie Harris notched the equalizer in the 12th minute off an assist from Felicity Grande but Centralia College was unable to notch the game-winner in a 1-1 tie with Lower Columbia College at Tiger Stadium in Centralia on Wednesday.

LCC's Libby Brown scored an unassisted goal in the 11th minute to put the Red Devils up early. The Blazers were outshot 6-5, had four corner kicks to LCC's six and keeper Marisol Vargas recorded three saves.

Allison Jensen and Kennedy Bodily each had a team-high two shots on goal while Emma Browning had one.

Centralia College (2-2-2 overall, 0-1-1 West Region) hosts Grays Harbor College at 7 p.m. Saturday at Tiger Stadium.
