The Centralia College volleyball team went the distance to earn its sixth straight win on Friday, taking down Lower Columbia College 19-25, 25-23, 17-25, 25-20, 15-7 in Longview.

"It was a marathon match tonight," Centralia College coach Ceanna Michalek said. "LC did a good job of pushing us out of system in moments, but thankfully we were able to settle into the game and make some big plays in the fourth and fifth set. I'm proud of our team's resilience and their ability to create opportunities for our offense to stay aggressive."

Avery Starr had another great performance, tallying 35 assists, 14 digs, five blocks, and two aces, while Nini Hutchings had 16 kills, 11 digs, and a pair of aces.

Cadence Gumanas helped keep CC in system with 18 digs, and Jada Whitmore finished with eight kills and seven blocks. Paige Miller added 12 kills, and Gerogiana Kalamafoni added nine.

The Trailblazers (18-7, 7-1 NWAC) will return home to host Tacoma on Wednesday.
