CC Volleyball Remains First Place in NWAC West
The volleyball team swept Tacoma at home, capping off the sweep in extra points in a 25-16, 25-20, 30-28 victory.
The Trailblazers were down five points late in that third set before rallying back to end it in three.
"I'm proud of our no quit mentality tonight," Centralia College volleyball coach Ceanna Michalek said. "It would have been easy to let off the gas, but our girls did a great job of rallying back for a marathon ending."
Nini Hutchings had another great all-around game, posting 16 kills, 13 digs, and three aces, while Jada Whitmore finished with eight kills and seven blocks at the net.
Paige Miller and Abcde Rogers both added five kills, Avery Starr logged 30 assists, seven digs, three blocks, and three aces, and Cadence Gumanas tallied 14 digs.
The volleyball team (19-7, 8-1 NWAC) has now won seven games in a row, remains in first place in the NWAC West, and will head to Highline on Friday.
