The Centralia College baseball team opened its season with a four-game set against Wenatchee Valley over the weekend, splitting a pair of doubleheaders to open the season 2-2.

Reuben Elliston gave the Trailblazers a 2-1 win in the opener on Saturday with a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth.

Liam Karlson pitched five innings of one-run ball and struck out four, while Ryan Rodriguez earned the win with four no-hit innings and five strikeouts out of the pen.

In Saturday's nightcap, CC took the lead in Game 2 with a two-run first, but the Knights responded with eight in the second and rolled to an 8-3 victory.

The Trailblazers offense came to play in Sunday's Game 1, as they scored 15 runs to win via run rule 15-5 in eight.

CC scored in every inning except the seventh, including four in the first and four in the eighth.

Kaleb Campbell hit a home run and a double while driving in two, Elliston and Sam Matosich finished with three runs batted in each, and Jace Bykari and Jack Skelley also drove home a pair each.

Asher Guerrero got his first win of the season on the bump, allowing just two hits while striking out four in five shutout innings of work.

The Knights were able to take the finale 6-3 to secure the split, opening up a 6-0 lead in the first seven and a half innings before CC was able to put up three in the bottom of the eighth.

Matosich hit an RBI single to get the Trailblazers on the board, and Caleb Chai hit a two-run double later in the inning.

CC (2-2) will be at home for another doubleheader on Saturday against Everett before heading north for another doubleheader against Everett on Sunday.
